You choose the apps and limits. Call Them uses Apple’s Screen Time tools to enforce them on your iPhone.
Call Them only uses the people you choose to add. When it checks whether one of those people has asked not to be included, the phone number or FaceTime email you selected is sent securely to the Call Them service for that check. The service converts it into a protected representation for lookup and storage. We do not upload your whole address book.
Call Them uses iPhone call state to tell whether an outgoing call connected. After a connected call ends, you confirm whether a person actually picked up before your apps can unlock. We do not record calls or listen to conversations.
Your Time is designed to keep its history on your device. It exists to show what Call Them changed, not to build an advertising profile.
When someone opts out, Call Them remembers that phone number or FaceTime email in a protected form so it can recognize the same contact later without keeping the number or email readable in the opt-out list.
